This was round 1 from the market. We made two trips home to carry all the loot.

We went to Scotts antique market yesterday. That place is HEAVEN. We got these chairs, made from old boats from Bali. Perfect for the screened in.

Day 12 in the new house and trying to figure out how to change the water filter. Might be difficult to turn off the water pump when not one seems to be found. Hope we don’t flood this place. Oh the joys of home ownership.

My new ride.
40 bucks on craigslist, in mint condition, and it already has a name: free spirit. So proud of my great find!

This was my morning

got up late

had nothing to wear

took a dark shower because both lights were out

had to go downstairs to dry hair because plug didn’t work

then realized the bathroom fuse was out

spent 5 minutes looking for my car keys

spent 5 minutes trying to lock the old-school door

spilled half my coffee while i was trying to lock the door

wreck on ponce, horrible traffic

could not find my key card to get into the parking lot

that was my morning.

But as I started typing this, I realized that i am not dying, my family is healthy, and happy, and when i have bad days/mornings, I realize my day is a dream compared to others who are suffering from much worse. that is all.

Yesterday was bittersweet. Since our move to Atlanta is quickly approaching, and our trip to Europe is in two days, Brian drove Willow up to Atlanta today to stay at “camp” with our parents. It was her time to say goodbye to the city she has spent most of her living years. We wanted her last day to be memorable, so naturally, we took her to Waverly Park, 3 times.

The park was her favorite part of Tampa, and undoubtedly, a big part of ours. We rarely missed a day bringing her to Waverly. She would wake up every morning, and follow Brian around the house until he would say those 5 magical words—“Let’s go to the park!” Willow caught her first bird at Waverly, which i documented here: http://www.smalldreams.typepad.com/blog/2010/07/babys-first-kill.html

We made friends there, “Boone’s Mom”, Chaco’s dad” to name a few. We know all good things must come to an end, and we can only hope that we find somewhere in Atlanta just as special as Waverly.
